About Me
My name is Katie Taylor and I qualified with an ITEC Anatomy and Physiology and Massage Diploma in July 2002 and set up my own small business and have been practising ever since. In June 2003 I passed an Indian Head Massage Diploma and over the next few years I have done various courses to improve my treatments and knowledge in Remedial and Holistic Massage including Common Neck and Back problems, Lower Back and Lumber Release, Soft Tissue Release, Deep Tissue Massage, Adapting Massage to Palliative Care, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Indian Head Massage, Seated Acupressure Chair Massage and I am a Baby Massage Instructor.
I became more interested in many holistic and remedial therapies following an accident I had when I was knocked over on a zebra crossing.
One of the therapies I had regularly was massage, this helped me enormously to get back on my feet again and I realised how important it is to keep the body supple and mobile to lead a happy, less stressful and fulfilling life.
Massage is clever, all it is is touch and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of massaging someone who is in pain or discomfort, releasing the tension in their body to help them become more comfortable to lead a less stressful and a more pain free life.
It is used to aid relaxation, stimulation or rehabilitation of the whole body or part of it to encourage it to heal itself and to cope with the stress and strains of our every day lives.
Trust me, come and have a massage and hopefully you won't be disappointed!
I am insured through the Complementary Therapist Association (CThA), listed with Embody and Find a Therapy websites.
